Mayo Clinic Health System – Red Cedar in Menomonie offers many accessibility services for patients who need assistance. These on-campus services are easy to access and free of charge.
Patient care staff can help you arrange accessibility services. Family and friends also are welcome to assist you with special needs during your visit to Mayo Clinic Health System.
Wheelchairs are available free of charge for use on campus and are located at the main entrances. If you prefer a larger-sized wheelchair, please ask a staff member.
Staff members and volunteers are available to transport patients within the facility to and from appointments, provide directions and answer questions during your visit. This free assistance is offered to patients with visual impairments, those who use wheelchairs and others who have difficulty walking.
Wheelchairs, walkers for off-campus rentals
Social Services can direct you to local providers for obtaining wheelchairs and walkers for off-campus needs.
You may park in any designated handicapped parking stall if you have a state-issued handicapped parking permit or license plate displayed on your car. Handicap parking spaces are located near the main entrances.
Services for the hearing impaired
Qualified sign language interpreters are available at no charge to persons who are deaf or hard of hearing. The MARTI video translator system and Pacific Interpreters Services are available for use as well. Telecommunications Devices for the Deaf (TDD) are available for persons who are deaf, hard of hearing or speech impaired. Staff at information desks or your nurses can direct you to these devices.
If you feel more comfortable speaking a language other than English, we offer interpreters for many languages. Interpreters are available in person for some languages and through telephone services for all others. When scheduling your visit, tell registration staff or scheduler that you will need an interpreter. There is no charge for interpreters.
All buildings have wheelchair-accessible restrooms. If you have difficulty locating a wheelchair-accessible restroom, ask a staff member for assistance.
