I chose a profession in family medicine to make a difference and a meaningful impact on people's lives. I will get to know you and your family and help you achieve optimal health through promoting healthy lifestyle and disease prevention. I will take care of you, whether you are sick or well, and try my best to provide high quality, compassionate care through open communication and respect for your concerns.
I was born in India and grew up in Toronto, Canada. I did my part of my medical training overseas in Saint Kitts and Nevis, and the rest in hospitals and clinics across Chicago, IL. I completed my three-year residency in family medicine at The University of North Dakota in Minot, ND. During that time, I was appointed as the Chief Resident and was awarded the Resident Teacher Award for excellence in academics and teaching.
After my residency, I worked for an additional 3 years in rural North Dakota, where I got to practice full spectrum family medicine, office based procedures and help patients with numerous ailments.
In my spare time, I enjoy spending time with my family, hiking, binge watching tv series, cooking, baking, travelling and playing with my sweet dog.
