As a physiatrist (PM&R doctor) and fellowship-trained pain medicine specialist, my passion centers around improving my patients' quality of life and helping them continue to do the things they love. I specialize in evaluating, diagnosing, and treating painful musculoskeletal conditions, including those related to the spine, large joints, nerves, and soft tissues.
Chronic orthopedic conditions, such as low back pain and knee pain, as well as chronic neurologic conditions, like nerve injuries and neuropathy, are conditions I have extensive training to help address. My expertise includes performing ultrasound-guided and fluoroscopic-guided procedures, minimally invasive spine injections and procedures, nerve blocks, joint ablation and injections, aspiration, trigger point injections and viscosupplementation.
I am actively involved in teaching these procedures nationally/internationally and similarly engaged in clinical research to help ensure the best outcomes for my patients. I see my work as a vocation and strive to treat every patient with the same care I would provide to my own family. In my practice, I am committed to demonstrating respect, integrity, compassion, excellence and overall manifesting Mayo Clinic's primary value – the needs of the patient come first.
Originally from Texas, I am now a proud Midwesterner and equally proud to call Eau Claire home. I am an avid sports fan (especially college football) and former college athlete. Outside of work, I enjoy participating in community sports leagues, exploring state and national parks, hiking, kayaking, skiing, golfing and spending time with my wife and our Shetland sheepdog.
