1221 Whipple St., Eau Claire, WI 54703Provider's Bio
When I first meet a patient, my goal is to get to know you and learn about your goals. I look to develop an ongoing collaborative relationship, in which we partner together to develop treatment recommendations. I approach psychiatric care holistically, focusing on the biological, psychological and social factors that contribute to one’s mental state.
I aim to look for the underlying cause of someone's symptoms by exploring their past and taking a trauma-informed approach. I strongly believe that a combination of medications and therapy gives people the best outcomes. With medications, safety comes first, and we will work together to balance risk vs. benefit.
I have always had a special interest in the field of psychology, starting when I took AP Psychology in high school. While in nursing school, I learned about psychiatric nursing and decided to obtain a minor in psychology. After that, I got a job working as an inpatient psychiatric nurse and then pursued my graduate degree.
In my free time, I enjoy cooking, outdoor activities, traveling, reading and spending time with my family and friends.
