Cancer survivors night
EAU CLAIRE, Wis. –– National Cancer Survivors Day is celebrated each June to celebrate those who have triumphed over cancer and to inspire hope for those currently facing it. To honor cancer survivors and their loved ones, the Eau Claire Express baseball team is proud to present, with the support of Mayo Clinic Health System, Cancer Survivors Night on Saturday, June 15, at Carson Park in Eau Claire, featuring live music before and after the game by Uncommon Denominator. Gates open at 4:35 p.m., music begins at 5 p.m.
All cancer survivors are invited to attend this special event and participate in "Carson Park's largest ceremonial first pitch" at 6:10 p.m. The American Cancer Society uses the term "cancer survivor" to refer to anyone who has ever been diagnosed with cancer, no matter where they are in the course of their disease. Cancer survivors do not need to be a current or past patient of Mayo Clinic or Mayo Clinic Health System to attend.
Each survivor and one guest will receive a free general admission ticket. Additional tickets are available for purchase at a discount. Visit the Eau Claire Express website or call 715-839-7788 to register.
