Mammography in Zumbrota, Minnesota

Mammograms play a key role in early breast cancer detection and help decrease breast cancer deaths. In addition to monthly breast self-exams, a 3D mammogram is the most accurate method to detect breast disease when no symptoms exist.
The American Cancer Society recommends yearly mammograms starting at age 40 and continuing for as long as a woman is in good health. How often you should have a mammogram depends on your age and your risk of breast cancer. Your provider will let you know if you should be screened more or less frequently based on your health history.
Mammography services are provided by our mobile unit that regularly visits Mayo Clinic Health System in Zumbrota. The vehicle is completely self-contained and provides all the technology needed to provide screening in any location.
