Professional Programs
Mayo Clinic Family Medicine Residency
The Mayo Clinic Family Medicine Residency program is one of the most recognized training programs for family physicians in the Upper Midwest. The program has been the source of many family physicians who now practice in many communities in our area.
Franciscan Healthcare School of Anesthesia
The nurse anesthesia program is a partnership among the Franciscan Healthcare School of Anesthesia, University of Wisconsin – La Crosse, and Viterbo University. It is the oldest nurse anesthesia program in the state of Wisconsin, established in 1942. Students that successfully complete the 36-month program are eligible to sit for the national board certification exam to become a Certified Registered Nurse Anesthetist (CRNA).
Pharmacy Residency
Mayo Clinic Health System in La Crosse hosts a PGY-1 Pharmacy Residency program under the direction of the School of Health Sciences within the Mayo Clinic College of Medicine and Science. The program builds on Doctor of Pharmacy (Pharm.D.) education and outcomes to contribute to the development of clinical pharmacists responsible for medication-related care of patients with a wide range of conditions, eligible for board certification and eligible for postgraduate year two (PGY2) pharmacy residency training.

Clinical experiences in the health care setting are an integral part of the education process and Franciscan Healthcare is pleased to partner with academic institutions to support these experiences.
Training Center
The Training Center at Mayo Clinic Health System in La Crosse provides health care professionals and the public with a variety of life support education opportunities.
