Express Care in Ellsworth
Express Care offers quick, convenient virtual care for common health concerns to patients ages 18 months through 75.
Express Care services include:
Virtual same-day appointments
Appointments are required. Schedule an appointment through the patient portal or call.
Express Care Online
Answer a diagnostic questionnaire on the patient portal and receive a care recommendation within one hour if submitted between 8 a.m. and 7 p.m. If you submit after hours, you'll be contacted by 9 a.m. the next day.
Conditions treated
For some conditions, different age ranges will apply. You also may be asked to schedule an in-person visit for some services.

- Acne
- Bladder infections (females, ages 12–75)
- Cold sores
- Cold symptoms
- Constipation
- Dental issues
- Diarrhea
- Ear pain
- Ear wash
- Heartburn
- Lice
- Medication renewal (short-term, non-narcotic)
- Minor burns
- Minor injuries (no head injuries)
- Minor skin infections
- Nausea
- Oral contraceptives (new prescriptions only, females, ages 18–34)
- Pink eye (conjunctivitis)
- Pregnancy testing (urine)
- Rashes
- Sinus symptoms/Sinusitis
- Smoking cessation (ages 18 and older)
- Sore throat
- Sports/camp exams (ages 11–24; excluding D1 college sports physicals)
- Stye
- Suture removal
- Tick exposure
- Tuberculosis (TB) skin testing, test reading
- Travel related motion sickness
- Vaginal yeast infection (females, ages 18–65)
- Vomiting
- Wart removal (up to four warts per visit)
Vaccines offered include:
- Hepatitis A and B (adults)
- Human papillomavirus infection (HPV)
- Influenza (flu)
- Meningococcal ACWY
- Meningitis B
- Pneumococcal
- Shingles (zoster)
- Tetanus-diphtheria-acellular pertussis (Tdap)
Conditions not treated include:
- Abdominal pain
- Animal bites
- Back pain
- Chest pain
- Fractures or sprains
- Physical examinations
- Trauma or injuries
- Urinary tract infection (males)
- Vaginal examinations
Services are delivered by Mayo Clinic Health System and Mayo Clinic providers.
