Niloy Jewel Samadder, M.D., ill discuss cancer genomics, which is the study of genetic alterations in cancer cells, aiming to understand the underlying causes of cancer and develop targeted therapies. In the realm of cancer research and healthcare, cancer genomics plays a pivotal role in understanding, detecting and treating cancer at various stages.

About the presenter
Dr. Niloy J. Samadder is a gastroenterologist with a focus on hereditary cancer syndromes and endoscopic oncology. He directs the high-risk cancer clinic at Mayo Clinic in Arizona, providing genetic consultation and testing to patients with early-onset cancer, rare cancers, and hereditary cancers. He completed his bachelor's degree at McMaster University, followed by his medical degree and residency at the University of Toronto. Dr. Samadder also completed fellowships and a master's degree at the University of Michigan. He is the program leader of Clinomics at the Mayo Clinic Center for Individualized Medicine and a professor of medicine and consultant in Gastroenterology and Hepatology at Mayo Clinic in Arizona.
