Health Career Scholarships in Fairmont

Erma H. Rosen Scholarship

The Fairmont Community Hospital (FCH) Foundation presents the Erma H. Rosen Nursing Scholarship.

We believe in helping future healthcare providers and offers local scholarships each year to promising students seeking a career in healthcare. Applications are collected in the spring each year and must be accompanied by an official copy of your transcript.

  • Applicants must be entering the last year of one of two full time accredited nursing programs:
    • A four-year bachelor of science nursing program (four-year BSN)
    • A three-year accelerated bachelor of science nursing program (three-year accelerated BSN)
  • Preference is given to students who graduated from a high school in Martin, Faribault or Jackson counties or the surrounding area.

Applications open Feb. 1 and close April 15 of each year.

Theresa C. Smith Radiology Scholarship

The FCH Foundation presents the Theresa C. Smith Radiology Scholarship to students entering their second year of radiology study. Applicants for the Theresa C. Smith Radiology Scholarship must have completed one full year of an accredited joint review committee on education in radiologic technology (JRCERT) program. Theresa liked to remind people that “It’s the friends we meet along the way that help us appreciate the journey.” Theresa met many wonderful people during her career at Mayo Clinic Health System in Fairmont.  Helping students learn about this rewarding career was something in which Theresa was very passionate. This scholarship helps support students so they, too, can experience this rewarding career.

  • Applicants must be a full-time student
  • Preference is given to students who graduated from a high school in Martin, Faribault or Jackson county or surrounding areas
