The 25th Annual Tiny Tim Gala, Festival of Trees, and Jingle Bell Brunch were a rousing success based on attendance and charitable money raised for the 2011 designated recipients.
Over 900 people took part in the three-day holiday festivities held November 18-20 in The Waterfront Cargill Room. Over $80,000 in proceeds will benefit five local organizations, including St. Clare Health Mission, WAFER Food Pantry, Sparta Franciscan Healthcare Foundation, Franciscan Healthcare Auxiliary programs and Bluff Country Family Resources.
The events were made possible with the help of more than 60 sponsors, volunteers who gave thousands of hours of their time, and many other businesses and individuals who donated their talents, time and funds to the events.
The two-day Festival of Trees showcased 44 spectacular trees adorned with beautiful angels, hand-made ornaments, ornaments from nature, and many “themed” creations, including Dr. Seuss, Cars II, Hoppy Holidays, It’s a Wonderful Life, and more. The event also included bidding on wreaths, and, for the first time this year, the public could vote on their favorite tree. The “Viewer’s Choice” tree favorite was “Glitz & Glimmer”, decorated by Anne Cina and sponsored by Castle Realty, LLC. Live musical entertainment for all ages was provided for both days of the Festival. It was a special place to be and showcased the talented musicians and singers from the Coulee Region.
The 260 attending the elegant Tiny Tim Gala on November 19th were treated to exquisite dining set with dazzling table décor, lively musical entertainment, portraits in the lobby, and active bidding during both the silent and live auctions.
Santa and Mrs. Claus were in attendance at the Festival of Trees and complete with sleigh, posed with families at both seatings at the Jingle Bell Brunch on Sunday.
