Dr. Erickson attended the University of Nebraska in Lincoln, Neb., as an undergrad and received her medical degree from the University of North Dakota in Grand Forks, N.D., and completed her residency in Family Medicine at Eglin Air Force Base in Florida. Dr. Erickson is board-certified in Family Medicine and is a 12-year veteran of the United States Air Force and was assigned to the 55th Medical Group at Offutt Air Force Base. She most recently worked at Catholic Health Initiatives in Omaha, Neb.
“I look forward to being involved in the Red Wing community and helping patients,” says Dr. Erickson. “As a primary care provider, I find it is important to actively listen to my patients’ concerns and questions to better help them achieve their health goals.”
Dr. Erickson’s professional interests include chronic disease management, weight management, dermatology and long-term contraception. She and her husband, Greg Erickson, M.D., recently moved to the Red Wing area and have four children ages 3 to 17. In her free time she enjoys running marathons, half-marathons and triathlons.
Dr. Forberg earned her undergraduate degree at the University of Minnesota in Morris, Minn. She attended medical school at the University of Minnesota in Duluth and in Minneapolis. She completed a Family Medicine Residency in Boise, Idaho. She is certified by the American Heart Association in obstetrics advanced life support, neonatal resuscitation and pediatric advanced life support.
“As a Minnesota native, it’s wonderful to come back to my home state and be part of the fabric of a small town community,” says Dr. Forberg. “It’s a privilege to care for people of all ages, from newborn to end of life and everything in between.”
In addition to primary care, Dr. Forberg provides prenatal and postnatal care for women and will also deliver babies at The Birthplace in Red Wing. She also has special interests in children’s health and she enjoys providing continuity of care for her patients. Chronic disease management and dermatology are additional professional interests of hers.
Outside of work, Dr. Forberg enjoys backpacking, camping and hiking. She and her husband are expecting their first child this winter. They recently moved to the Red Wing area.
