OWATONNA, Minn. - Robert Hyde, M.D., has joined the Emergency Department team at Mayo Clinic Health System in Owatonna. Dr. Hyde will treat patients at the Owatonna Hospital, part of Allina Health.
Dr. Hyde earned his medical degree at the University of Massachusetts in Worcester, Massachusetts, and completed an emergency medicine residency at Mayo Clinic in Rochester. Dr. Hyde also completed an emergency ultrasound fellowship at Christiana Care Health System in Newark, Delaware. He is a board-certified physician, and has special interest in ultrasonography, medical education, wilderness medicine and prehospital care. Dr. Hyde is a fellow of the American Academy of Emergency Medicine and the American College of Emergency Physicians.
“Dr. Hyde will be playing a critical role in the Emergency Department at Owatonna Hospital, both as a physician seeing patients and as a leader providing medical directorship services for this unit,” says Brian Bunkers, M.D., President and CEO, Mayo Clinic Health System in Faribault and Owatonna. “We are extremely pleased to have someone of his caliber joining our team.”
