Tomah Clinic Completes Renovation Project, Adds Rehabilitation Services

Mayo Clinic Health System – Franciscan Healthcare’s  Tomah clinic has completed a six-month renovation project to increase clinical space for its family medicine practice and create room to add rehabilitation services. The project also included remodeling the clinic lobby.

The $2.4 million dollar renovation added eight exam rooms on the building’s second floor as well as a 3,000 square foot Rehabilitation Services Department. The result is an environment that is conducive to a positive patient experience with improved patient flow and increased privacy with new check-in/check-out stations.

“Our clinic has added three new family physicians in the last year, so we needed more exam rooms,” said Kim Hawthorne, administrator for the Tomah clinic. “We are also excited to now be able to offer rehabilitation services for our patients.”

The rehabilitation services offered at the clinic include Physical and Occupational Therapy for musculoskeletal injuries, pain, post-operative rehabilitation, neurological conditions, work-related injuries, loss of function, sports medicine, women’s health and vestibular problems. The department is furnished with cutting-edge rehabilitation equipment and modalities to meet the broad needs of patients of all ages. Rehabilitation Services will be available from 7 a.m. to 6 p.m. Monday through Thursday and 7 a.m. to 5 p.m. on Friday.

The clinic will celebrate the completion of the renovation project with a community open house on Sunday, September 8.
