OWATONNA, Minn. — John Sauer, M.D., an orthopedic surgeon, joined the orthopedics team at Mayo Clinic Health System in Owatonna and Faribault in early September.
Dr. Sauer earned his medical degree at Case Western Reserve University School of Medicine in Cleveland, Ohio. He completed his residency in orthopedics at MetroHealth St. Luke’s Medical Center in Cleveland, Ohio. He is board-certified by the American Board of Orthopedic Surgery.
Dr. Sauer enjoys the full spectrum of orthopedics, including adult reconstructive, arthroscopic knee surgery, and hand and shoulder surgery.
“I have spent a lot of my career providing care to one small community in Northern Wisconsin. I love being able to provide this quality of care for people close to where they live,” says Dr. Sauer. “I am looking forward to providing this same high quality of orthopedic care to the people of Owatonna and Faribault as part of a quality health care system in Mayo Clinic Health System.”
In his free time, Dr. Sauer enjoys spending time with his family, trail running, biking, wilderness canoe paddling and wood working.
