BARRON, Wis. — On Jan. 8, Natasha Stone of Rice Lake celebrated the birth of her first child. Turns out her baby also is the first born at Mayo Clinic Health System – Northland in Barron in 2019.
Due on Jan. 6, Stone had hoped her baby might arrive before the new year, but she did not go into labor until the afternoon of Jan. 7 and delivered Amara Lynne the next day at 1:24 a.m. Perhaps the baby had a reason to wait.
Amara shares her birthday with her uncle James MacArthur of Bruce. “I’m so excited she’s here — I’ve been waiting to meet her forever,” says Stone. “My brother was the first person to hold her after me. He is so happy to be a first-time uncle.”
Amara has strawberry blonde hair and blue eyes. She weighed 7 pounds, 5 ounces and was 19 inches long at birth.
