EAU CLAIRE, WI. — Effective Jan. 6, the Urgent Care Department at Mayo Clinic Health System, 733 W. Clairemont Ave., will open one hour earlier on Sunday mornings.
The new hours for Urgent Care will be:
- Weekdays, 8 a.m.–8 p.m.
- Weekends, 9 a.m.–5 p.m.
“Patients have told us they would appreciate expanded weekend hours,” says Shannara Faupl, Urgent Care director. “Having wider access to same-day care has the potential to save patients from having to make a more costly Emergency Department visit.”
Urgent Care provides same-day treatment for those age 6 months and older for minor health concerns, such as:
- Back pain
- Colds and flu, including fevers, coughs, sore throats and ear aches
- Minor allergic reactions
- Minor burns
- Scrapes and cuts
- Skin conditions, including rashes, poison ivy and insect bites
- Sprains, strains and simple fractures
- Urinary tract infections
- Vomiting and diarrhea
Urgent Care is for walk-ins only. No appointment is required.
