RED WING, Minn. — Physician assistant Doug Larsen has joined the Emergency Medicine Department at Mayo Clinic Health System. He will see patients who present to the emergency rooms in Red Wing and Cannon Falls.
Larsen attended the University of Wisconsin – La Crosse for his undergraduate degree and received his master’s degree in physician assistant studies at the University of Iowa in Iowa City. He completed a residency at the University of Iowa Hospital and is a board-certified physician assistant. He is a fellow of the Academy of Wilderness Medicine. He recently received a specialty credential of Certificate of Added Qualifications from the National Commission on Certification of Physician Assistants.
“I look forward to helping patients who need emergency care in Red Wing and Cannon Falls,” says Larsen. “From injuries to life-threatening conditions, I enjoy helping patients who need immediate medical attention.”
In his spare time, Larsen enjoys spending time with family, hiking and being outdoors.
