Facial and Nonsurgical
Botox, fillers, facial augmentation (non-surgical facelift)
Although crow’s feet and lines around the mouth and on the forehead indicate a life filled with laughter, they can make you look older than you feel.
Botox injections use various forms of botulinum toxin to temporarily paralyze muscle activity. Carefully placed Botox injections can effectively reduce the appearance of facial lines and wrinkles and restore a youthful appearance to facial skin. Results usually last three to 12 months.
Injecting collagen or fat under the skin and into indented wrinkles or scars can fill out or stretch the skin. This makes the wrinkles less noticeable. Results are temporary, so you would need to repeat the injections periodically. Juvederm injections can create fuller lips and treat the folds between your nose and mouth, small wrinkles directly above the lips, and wrinkles on the lower and upper face. Results usually last six months to one year.
A brow lift, also known as a forehead lift or forehead rejuvenation, is a cosmetic surgical procedure to improve the appearance of the forehead, the brow and the area around the eyes. During a brow lift, your surgeon uses small incisions to raise the soft tissue and skin of the forehead and brow. A brow lift can be done alone or with other facial procedures, such as eyelid surgery.
Cosmetic and Functional Rhinoplasty
Rhinoplasty is surgery that changes the shape of your nose. The motivation for rhinoplasty may be to change the appearance of the nose, improve breathing or both. The upper portion of the structure of the nose is bone and the lower portion is cartilage. Rhinoplasty can modify bone, cartilage, skin or all three. This surgery changes the shape of your nose for cosmetic or functional reasons.
If prominent ears, or ears that appear to stick out farther than normal, leave you feeling insecure about your appearance, ear surgery, or otoplasty, can help. Otoplasty is a surgical procedure designed to set prominent ears closer to the head or correct congenital or trauma-induced ear abnormalities. This procedure is available to patients of all ages.
During otoplasty, your doctor will surgically change the shape, position or size of your ears. Incisions can be made on the backs of the ears, as shown below, or within the inner creases of the ears.
Drooping upper lids and puffy bags below your eyes can make you look older and more tired than you actually feel — not to mention, interfere with your vision. Eyelid surgery, or blepharoplasty, removes the excess fat, skin and muscle from the upper and lower eyelids to give you a more youthful, energetic appearance.
If drooping eyelids interfere with your vision, your insurance may cover the procedure. Blepharoplasty can be done alone or in conjunction with other facial surgery procedures, such as a facelift or brow lift.
