A New Me: Healthy Balance Matters
A New Me is a 12-week comprehensive, holistic lifestyle program that provides the tools and motivation to help participants improve healthy behaviors and maintain a well-balanced, meaningful life. Weekly classes are facilitated by a registered dietitian, exercise physiologist, stress management expert, and a certified health and wellness coach. Participants also attend bi-weekly small group coaching sessions which offer support, self-discovery, accountability, and a chance to celebrate successes. Facilitated by wellness coaches, these sessions help bridge the gap between knowledge gained in the large class and the actual follow-through on commitments that align with participants’ values and priorities. A New Me is offered twice each year, in September and February, with classes held at Mayo Clinic Health System in La Crosse. Participants receive a baseline and one-year biometric screen which includes body composition, lipid panel and blood glucose, and a comprehensive handbook of all materials covered in class. A fee of $399 may be paid in installments. A New Me qualifies for the Eat Well Move More rebate program, through which Health Tradition Health Plan employer group members can earn a rebate of $200 by successfully completing the program.
