Breast-feeding your baby
Register for this free class at your first session of Birth, Babies and Beyond.
Learn about normal feeding patterns, pumping, storage, return to work, etc. Classes meet on various days from 6 to 8:15 p.m. at the Owatonna Hospital in Room 1489.

Be prepared for a safe and personally satisfying birth as well as a successful start at parenting.
Labor and Delivery/ Relaxation/Breathing: Stages of labor, pain theories and pre labor information. Parent will practice breathing and relaxation techniques. Please bring a blanket and two pillows to this session.
The "What If's": Birth Procedures, Fetal Monitoring, Induction, and Cesarean Delivery and care after delivery.
“Beyond” Bringing Baby Home: Parents will receive information about what to expect when there is a new baby in the home. Calming techniques, best practice information on caring for a newborn, community resources and car seat safety.
All About - Baby and Tour of the Hospital: What to expect immediately following birth (newborn appearance, routine procedures), newborn states; (sleep, alert, crying, etc.) feeding, diapers circumcision care, cord care and bathing.
