BARRON, Wis. — Physician assistant Genie Kim recently joined Urgent Care at Mayo Clinic Health System – Northland in Barron.
Kim earned her bachelor’s degree from Mount Aloysius College in Cresson, Pennsylvania, and her master’s degree in physician assistant studies from Chatham University in Pittsburgh, Pennsylvania.
Kim is board-certified by the National Commission on Certification of Physician Assistants and a national registered emergency medical technician.
“I chose Mayo Clinic because I strongly believe that Mayo Clinic’s mission matches my ultimate personal goal as a medical practitioner: evidence-based clinical practice, education to patients and colleagues, and research,” Kim says.
Kim’s professional interests include preventative health, urgent care and emergency medicine.
In her free time, Kim enjoys pursuing a healthy lifestyle, ice skating and cooking. In addition to serving patients as a physician assistant, she also serves as a U.S. Army reservist. “I am honored to work with soldiers who commit their lives to protecting the United States and its values,” Kim says.
