FAIRMONT, Minn. — Mayo Clinic Health System in Fairmont Foundation is offering two Blanche Kindstrom Hospital Auxiliary Scholarships to local students pursuing health care careers. The deadline for applications is April 1.
This year’s scholarships include:
- One $1,000 scholarship awarded to a Fairmont High School senior
- One $1,000 scholarship awarded to a high school senior in the Mayo Clinic Health System in Fairmont service area
The Mayo Clinic Health System in Fairmont Scholarship Committee reviews all scholarship applications and selects a recipient and alternate. Scholarship recipients and alternates will be notified by April 22, 2016.
“We’re grateful for the ability to offer scholarships to local students who have an interest in pursuing health care careers,” says Amy Long, Mayo Clinic Health System in Fairmont site administrator. “Investing in students and young talent in our service area is integral to the success of our communities and the future health care workforce.”
Scholarship recipients must enter college within one year of being awarded the scholarship. Applications and additional information are available through area high school counselors or online at mayoclinichealthsystem.org/locations/fairmont/careers/health-career-scholarships.
