FAIRMONT, Minn. —Mayo Clinic Health System in Fairmont recently announced that Mark Leo, M.D., will begin providing urology services in Fairmont every Tuesday starting Sept. 5. As a urologist, Dr. Leo specializes in diagnosing and treating patients of all ages who have problems associated with the urinary tract or reproductive organs.
“I’m a firm believer in Mayo Clinic’s mission statement, the needs of the patient come first,” says Dr. Leo. “It’s something I picked up during my residency in Rochester and helps guide how I practice medicine.”
Originally from Pittsburgh, Pennsylvania, Dr. Leo received his training at Pennsylvania State University College of Medicine in Hershey, Pennsylvania. He completed both his internship in general surgery and his residency in urological surgery at Mayo Clinic School of Graduate Medical Education in Rochester, Minnesota. Dr. Leo is certified by the American Board of Urology and a Fellow of the American College of Surgeons.
“Urology issues can be a sensitive topic for many people,” says Dr. Leo. “I want patients to feel comfortable coming to me for help. My goal is to find and then fix any issues they are experiencing.”
