EAU CLAIRE, Wis. — Hammad Hussain, M.D., recently joined Mayo Clinic Health System in Eau Claire as an endocrinologist.
Dr. Hussain earned his bachelor of medicine and bachelor of surgery degrees from The Aga Khan University in Karachi, Pakistan. He completed his internship and residency at UPMC Shadyside Hospital in Pittsburgh, Pennsylvania. He also completed fellowships in geriatric medicine at Duke University Hospital, Durham, North Carolina, and endocrinology and metabolism at Kansas University Medical Center, Kansas City.
Before joining Mayo Clinic Health System, Dr. Hussain worked for Quincy Medical Group, Quincy, Illinois, and also served as clinical assistant professor of endocrinology at Southern Illinois University in Springfield.
He is a diplomate of the American Board of Endocrinology and Metabolism and holds an endocrine certification in neck ultrasound. He also is a certified diabetes educator and clinical densitometrist with the International Society of Clinical Densitometry.
Dr. Hussain’s professional interests include thyroid nodules, thyroid cancer and osteoporosis.
