OWATONNA, Minn. — Breno Pessanha, M.D., a cardiologist, recently joined the practice at Mayo Clinic Health System in Faribault and Owatonna.
“I am looking forward to providing local cardiac care for frequently encountered cardiovascular problems in the community, as well as working in close collaboration with other experts at Mayo Clinic in Rochester,” says Dr. Pessanha.
Dr. Pessanha earned his medical degree at Federal Fluminense University in Niteroi, Brazil. He completed internal medicine residencies at the Federal University of Rio De Janeiro, Brazil; University of Illinois at Michael Reese Hospital in Chicago and George Washington University Medical Center in Washington, D.C. Dr. Pessanha completed his cardiology fellowship at George Washington University Medical Center in Washington, D.C.
Dr. Pessanha has special interests in chest pain, dyspnea, palpitation, atrial fibrillation, valvular heart disease and cardiovascular disease prevention.
