WABASHA, Minn. — Anne Liwonjo, M.D., recently joined Family Medicine at Mayo Clinic Health System – Lake City in Wabasha. She provides primary care to patients of all ages.
Dr. Liwonjo earned her medical degree from St. Matthew’s University School of Medicine in Grand Cayman, British West Indies. She completed residency at Saints Mary and Elizabeth Medical Center in Chicago, Illinois.
She is board-certified in family medicine with the American Board of Family Medicine and is a member of the American Academy of Family Physicians. She has volunteered as a general practice practitioner in Cameroon, West Africa, where she assisted with the evaluation and management of patients, including obstetrics and pediatrics.
Previously, Dr. Liwonjo worked as a physician at VNA Healthcare in Aurora, Illinois.
Her professional interests include preventive care and women’s health. She provides primary care to patients of all ages.
“I like to care for people in the community setting and believe that everyone deserves access to quality care,” says Dr. Liwonjo. “I also want patients to feel comfortable asking me questions in order to understand how we can work together to achieve their health goals.”
In her free time, Dr. Liwonjo enjoys hiking, reading, and hanging out at coffee shops with her husband.
