Mayo Clinic Health System in Waseca provides access to emergency services 24 hours a day, seven days a week, in our Emergency Room. Emergency care includes more serious situations, such as broken bones and possible heart attacks, as well as convenient access to after hours treatment of minor injuries and illnesses requiring attention, such as earaches, colds, strep throat and upper respiratory infections. If you need emergency care, you can either go directly to the Emergency Room or dial 911 for ambulance service.
We also offer stroke telemedicine technology
If your emergency medicine provider suspects you are having a stroke, he or she will activate the stroke telemedicine hotline at Mayo Clinic, which connects them to a Mayo Clinic vascular neurologist. The vascular neurologist will provide a real-time, audiovisual consultation and evaluation. Having this technology available reduces the risk of stroke-related disabilities for our patients. Always call 911 if you have an emergency.
