Occupational TherapyOccupational therapy helps patients participate in the things they want and need to do through the therapeutic use of everyday activities. Common occupational therapy interventions include helping children with disabilities to participate fully in school and social situations; helping people recovering from injury to regain skills; and providing support for older adults experiencing physical and cognitive changes.

Occupational therapy includes treatment and services in the following areas:

  • Cognitive impairment evaluation and rehabilitation
  • Ergonomic assessment and recommendations
  • Evaluation and training in adaptive equipment
  • Hand therapy
  • Home safety assessments
  • Treatment of upper quarter myofascial pain syndrome

  • Transitional care/inpatient rehabilitation services
