Sports Medicine

Our Sports Medicine Team is comprised of surgeons, family practice physicians, athletic trainers and physical therapists.

Coaches and athletes depend on the knowledge of team members to help keep athletes in top condition. Our sports medicine specialists tailor treatment programs to athletes’ individual needs. Injuries are assessed and treated, and resources are offered regarding prevention techniques, nutrition counseling and conditioning information.

Athletic Training

Rehabilitation Services in Barron and Rice Lake provides complimentary in-school athletic training services and selected game coverage for Barron, Cameron and Prairie Farm schools.

Lump Bump Clinic

Mayo Clinic Health System – Northland offers a free Lump Bump Clinic for high school athletes to receive injury evaluations from a physical therapist or athletic trainer. Further treatment would be recommended if needed. The clinic is available from 7 a.m. to 5:30 p.m. weekdays by appointment in Barron and Rice Lake. To make an appointment, call 715-537-9905.

“Don’t let an injury wait,” says licensed athletic trainer Bethany Jackan. “The sooner an injury is diagnosed and treated, generally the sooner an athlete can resume activity.”
