Mayo Clinic Health System welcomes visitors. Family and close friends play a key role in the healing and recovery process of our patients. In order to enhance the quality of care, visits are encouraged during the times below. If you have questions, review the visiting guidelines or talk to a member of our staff.
General visiting hours are from 11 a.m.–8:30 p.m. daily. If needed, extended visiting time can be arranged with the nursing staff. After 8:30 p.m., visitors must enter through Entrance 1 (Emergency Department entrance) and check in at the security desk.
The following specialty care areas have specific guidelines:
- Behavioral Health
- Visiting hours are from 4:30–6:30 p.m. on weekdays and from 2:30–8:30 p.m. on weekends.
- Nonfamily members should call 507-385-2637 to make arrangements.
- Family Birth Center
- Quiet time is from 2–4 p.m. daily. Visitors are encouraged to come before or after quiet time so that patients may rest.
- Visitors should stop at the fifth floor nurses' station to pick up a pink visitor badge.
Patients have the right to refuse visitors at any time. If you would like to restrict visitors, please talk with your nurse.
