Vestibular Rehabilitation

Physical therapists evaluate and treat acute and chronic vestibular issues through individualized treatment plans including visual and proprioceptive training and exercises. The treatment plans focus on the head, body and eyes in order to reduce symptoms associated with vestibular dysfunction. Vestibular rehab is aimed at returning you to your normal tasks and activities. Please note that it is important to understand that these exercises will challenge your vestibular system and will elicit symptoms. However the symptoms will decrease as your progress with the exercises.

Some of the common signs and symptoms of vestibular issues are:

  • Dizziness
  • Vertigo
  • Imbalance
