Domestic Abuse (Safe Path)

Safe Path is the domestic abuse and sexual assault program for Mayo Clinic Health System Franciscan Healthcare. Our aim is to provide services to victims of emotional, physical and sexual assault.

Free services available from Safe Path include:

  • a confidential and safe place to talk
  • emotional support
  • information and referral
  • individual counseling
  • safety planning
  • crisis intervention (24 hour telephone line)
  • assistance in dealing with legal, medical and human services systems
  • assistance with access to resources
  • assistance with applying for crime victims' compensation

Safe Path is part of the Center for Women's Health located at the Mayo Clinic Health System Franciscan Healthcare La Crosse Clinic (800 West Avenue South). Safe Path staff are available by phone 24 hours per day, 7 days per week.

Appointments are preferred for non-emergent situations, but are not always necessary. Office hours are Monday to Friday, 8:00 a.m. to 5:00 p.m.
