Electrocardiograms (EKG), Holter Monitoring and Cardiac Event Testing

Electrocardiogram (EKG) - an electrical measurement of the heart rate and rhythm.

Holter monitoring - 24 to 48 hour continuous recording of the heart's electrical activity.

Cardiac event recorder - a heart monitor worn for 30 days to record your heart's electrical activity while having symptoms such as syncope, chest pain, irregular heartbeat, dizziness and other symptoms. A button is pushed by the patient when the symptoms occur and an electrical heart tracing is recorded.

Hours and Locations:
The Department of Cardiopulmonary Diagnostics in La Crosse is open Monday through Friday from 7:30 a.m. to 5 p.m. Cardiopulmonary Diagnostic services are offered at the Onalaska Clinic Monday through Friday from 8 a.m. to 5 p.m. The department is located on the east side of the first floor of the clinic.
