Mayo Clinic Maternal Fetal Medicine Specialists, also called perinatologists or high-risk obstetricians, William Watson, MD and Carl Rose, MD, have been seeing patients at Franciscan Healthcare since February 2006.
Specifically, our partners from Mayo Clinic provide our patients services such as Comprehensive Ultrasounds-an ultrasound to give a more detailed evaluation of the fetus. They will also provide genetic amniocentesis. Women benefiting from this new service are those with medical or surgical disorders such as heart disease or high blood pressure. Also benefiting are healthy women whose pregnancy is considered complicated-twins, triplets or a history of pregnancy loss.
