Diabetes Symposium

This program is designed to update physicians, nurses, dietitians, and other health care professionals on current practices and research in diabetes care. At the conclusion of the conference the participant will be able to:

  • Describe treatment approaches for glucose variability
  • Describe common treatment regimens for patients with diabetes in the hospital setting
  • Utilize case studies to develop a treatment plan to improve blood glucose control
  • Identify key nutritional factors relating to kidney disease
  • Identify the key elements and essential characteristics of Motivational Interviewing
  • Apply Motivational Interviewing skills in a patient interaction to effectively promote behavior change

Continuing Education Credits

This continuing nursing education activity was approved by the Wisconsin Nurses Association, an accredited approver by the American Nurses Credentialing Center’s Commission on Accreditation. 6.5 contact hours are being offered. You must attend entire program and complete the evaluation to receive contact hours.
