Pediatric Jump Start for Health Classes are:

  • Designed for children with an elevated body mass index (BMI) to jump-start their pursuit of a healthier lifestyle
  • Based on the “5-2-1-0 Let’s Go” program, a nationally recognized childhood obesity
    prevention program
  • Tailored to educate children, teens and their caregivers
  • Intended to teach participants about healthy eating, setting goals and healthy
    cooking with a demonstration using the Mobile Teaching Kitchen equipment

Participants will be divided into 2 age groups:

  • 5 - 11 years old: 4 p.m.  5:15 p.m.
  • 12 - 17 years old: 6 p.m. — 7:15 p.m.

Classes are held the 3rd Monday of each month.

Cost: Classes are free of charge. Registration is required to participate.
