Support Groups

Offering support can make a world of difference to people mourning the loss of a loved. We offer several support groups to help you and your family deal with grief.

Side by Side
This five-week grief support group is open to any adult who has experienced the death of a loved one. Discussion topics include:

  • Common reactions to grief
  • Remembering special memories
  • Healthy ways of coping
  • Adjusting to new roles in life
  • Defining what normal means again
  • Keeping or changing traditions
  • Finding hope

This workshop is for grieving families with children and teens ages 6 to 18. Adults and young people will spend time together and also have separate group time to share their experiences, learn about the grief process and work on special projects..

Story Hour
This group provides children ages 3 to 5 the opportunity to listen to sensitive stories about life and death with the opportunity to ask questions. A snack is provided.

Common Bonds
This group provides widows and widowers the opportunity to get together for conversation, camaraderie and support over coffee or lunch at a local restaurant.

Tapestries of Grief
This group allows attendees to express grief through various art workshops. Projects will include art, music, journaling, photography and scrapbooking or memory work.
