If you haven’t raced in the past, this is your year to join in the fun. In 2016, the Half Moon Dragon Boat Festival was voted Volume One’s No. 1 “Best Sports/Recreation Event (non-race/walk)” in the Chippewa Valley.
Start getting your paddle power ready! Talk with family and friends. Online registration is open from March 1 to 31. Teams can roster up to 25 people, which includes 24 paddlers and a drummer. Here's how:
Designate a team captain. Captains are responsible for completing the team registration form, submitting team registration payment in the form of check or credit card, and communicating festival and race information to teammates.
Decide which registration option below works best for your team.
To be guaranteed a boat, your team registration fee is $1,500, due when you complete the online registration. This option is limited, so register early, as available guaranteed boats will be distributed on a first-come, first-served basis.
To enter the team lottery, complete the online registration form by March 31. No payment is due at the time of registration. The lottery drawing will be held April 3. If selected, your team registration fee is $1,000 and due by April 17. Because these teams are selected via a lottery, there is no guarantee your team will be selected.
Registration fees can be split between team members. You also may consider additional ways to help cover the cost of team registration.
