Mayo Clinic Health System in Eau Claire received the 2016 Emerald Award by Practice Greenhealth. Practice Greenhealth is a national organization that promotes environmentally responsible practices among health care organizations through education and information sharing among members. Award recipients have reduced use of materials containing mercury and other hazardous chemicals, as well as improved recycling rates and other sustainability practices. It takes every employee being mindful every day about how our actions affect our environment. This award is a reflection of that dedication.
Mayo Clinic Health System in Eau Claire among first to receive Green Business designation.
Mayo Clinic Health System in Eau Claire is one of several local businesses to receive the Eau Claire Chamber of Commerce’s inaugural Green Business designation.
Businesses submitted applications and were selected for recognition based on their efforts in recycling, waste prevention, energy and water conservation, as well as environmentally sustainable practices in purchasing, transportation and environmental advocacy among employees.
