Regional Laboratory and Radiology Services
All Mayo Clinic Health System Franciscan Healthcare regional clinics have on site laboratory and radiology (x-ray) services to meet the needs of patients locally.

Each laboratory is accredited by the College of American Pathology. Tests available from regional laboratories include pregnancy tests, strep tests, mononucleosis tests, influenza tests, urinalysis, wet preps and accuchecks. (Specific capabilities of each lab will vary.) Lab results are available electronically to physicians across our system so that your primary care physician and specialists are able to collaborate on your care. Please contact your local provider regarding specific laboratory tests necessary for your care.

Radiology services are also available to assist our providers in diagnosing and treating patients locally. At most locations radiology images are available digitally to radiologists in La Crosse for consultations. Some services, such as mammography and bone density testing, are available via mobile services that visit on a regular basis. Please speak with your local provider regarding radiology services appropriate for your care.

Call your local Mayo Clinic Health System Franciscan Healthcare clinic for more information about these important clinical services available in your community.

Patient and Family Services

The Patient and Family Services Department provides quality evaluation(s) and service development helping individual patients and their families find solutions to problems and unmet needs. The Patient and Family Services Department believes that all persons entering the hospital or nursing home are entitled to interdisciplinary care, which is individual, comprehensive, progressive and humanistic. Many of our patients require continuation of care after discharge from the facility setting and are entitled to assistance with care planning preparation. We accept referrals from outside agencies, other health organizations and private parties for a variety of services and programs offered on campus. Social Workers work with the interdisciplinary team in developing and implementing an appropriate health care plan for referred patients, including psychosocial assessment and social history with defined needs, approaches and goals (including discharge status) and discharge potential. We facilitate interdisciplinary care planning in both nursing home and hospital settings for the development of a patients plan of care and attainment of patient goals.
