Question: How much does treatment cost?

Answer: The cost of treatment services is dependent on the individual needs of each patient and the specific level of care that is recommended. A rough cost estimate for outpatient treatment is $7,000-8,000 whereas residential can cost $21,000-28,000.

Question: What payment methods are accepted?

Answer: Fountain Centers accepts payment from commercial insurance, private payers and the Consolidated Chemical Dependency Treatment Fund (CCDTF) and participates in most southern Minnesota provider networks. A payment plan can be arranged for self-pay on an individual basis.

Question: Do you accept Medical Assistance?

Answer: We do not accept straight Medical Assistance, however if a person qualifies for Medical Assistance, they will likely qualify for the Minnesota Consolidated Chemical Dependency Treatment Fund (CCDTF) or a state issued health plan. CCDTF funds are accessed through chemical dependency assessors in the county of residence. This process is known as a Rule 25 assessment. The CCDTF incurs no cost to the family.

Question: What funding options are there if I don’t have insurance?  If I don’t qualify for county funding?

Answer: If there is no insurance coverage, or CCDTF ineligible, arrangements can be made for divided payments to Mayo Clinic Health System in Albert Lea over a maximum of three months, or assistance with obtaining a medical loan from a lender if a longer period of repayment is required.  For self-pay individuals, a down payment of one-third of the estimated cost of services is required.
