February 16, 2016

OWATONNA, Minn. — Mayo Clinic Health System in Owatonna is pleased to announce the addition of Liza Tapia, Family Medicine Nurse Practitioner. Tapia completed her Master of Science in Family Nurse Practitioner Program at Walden University in Minneapolis, Minnesota.

Tapia is a board-certified nurse practitioner who is fluent in Spanish.

“We are very pleased to add Liza Tapia to our family medicine care team,” says Brian Bunkers, M.D., CEO at Mayo Clinic Health System in Faribault and Owatonna. “We have experienced issues at the clinic with having enough appointments available for patients. Liza and the other new nurse practitioners and physician assistants we have hired are part of the solution to that issue. Liza has a long history at Mayo, working as a nurse in the dermatology area. She will be a great addition.”

Tapia joined the practice on Wednesday, Feb. 10, and will soon treat patients in Owatonna’s Family Medicine Department.
