Venkata Buddhavarapu, M.D., joins Hospital Medicine in Osseo

EAU CLAIRE, Wis. — Venkata Buddhavarapu, M.D., a hospitalist, recently joined Hospital Medicine at Mayo Clinic Health System – Oakridge in Osseo. A hospitalist is a physician who is dedicated full time to taking care of patients admitted to the hospital.

Dr. Buddhavarapu earned his medical degree from Weill Cornell Medical College in Doha, Qatar. He completed his residency in internal medicine at The Brooklyn Hospital Center in New York. His special interests include hospital and critical care medicine.

“High-quality medical care not only involves the latest medical science has to offer, but also a deep understanding of the psychosocial nature of the disease and how it affects the patient,” says Buddhavarapu. “My goal is to address both sides of this dynamic problem to provide a complete healing experience for my patients.”

In his spare time, Dr. Buddhavarapu enjoys playing soccer, basketball and cricket. He also enjoys reading and music.
