Variety of CPR and First Aid Classes Offered

February 10, 2012

This fall, Mayo Clinic Health System in Menomonie is rolling out expanded American Heart Association CPR and first aid class offering to the community.  The medical center will offer three new versions of CPR and first aid that are geared toward non-health care professionals in addition to Basic Life Support (BLS) for the Health Care Provider, which they have offered to the community for several years.

“This expanded offering is very exciting to us,” says Sara Carstens, director of Education at Mayo Clinic Health System.  “We want everyone who is interested in learning life-saving techniques to get trained.  In the past, the only module provided was BLS for Health Care Providers, which is an advanced offering of CPR.  By offering more diverse training options, community members can feel comfortable getting the education that is right for their needs.”
