Electroencephalogram (EEG) testing available at Mayo Clinic Health System in Faribault

August 30, 2016

FARIBAULT, Minn. — Mayo Clinic Health System in Faribault now offers Electroencephalogram (EEG) testing locally at the Crossroads Professional Building. An EEG can determine changes in brain activity that may be used in diagnosing brain disorders, such as epilepsy.  Neurologist Layne Moore, M.D., administers and interprets the test locally.  Neurology offers an electroencephalogram (EEG) service as a diagnostic tool aimed at detecting neural abnormalities.  Patients will have their tests done in Faribault and then meet with Dr. Moore for diagnosis and treatment.

“This is one more example of our efforts to bring more care closer to home,” says Brian Bunkers, M.D., CEO of Mayo Clinic Health System in Faribault and Owatonna.

EEG testing is scheduled as an outpatient visit and is available on the first and third Thursday of each month. Patients must have a physician’s referral to schedule an EEG.

To schedule an EEG test, please call Mayo Clinic Health System at 507-333-3300.
