EAU CLAIRE, Wis. — Physician assistant Karissa Hultmark recently joined the Emergency Department at Mayo Clinic Health System in Eau Claire.
Hultmark earned her bachelor’s degree in biology and Spanish from the University of Wisconsin-La Crosse, where she also earned a master’s degree in physician assistant studies through a partnership with Gundersen Medical Foundation and the Mayo School of Health Sciences.
Hultmark is certified by the National Commission on Certification of Physician Assistants. She is a member of the American Academy of Physician Assistants and the Wisconsin Academy of Physician Assistants, and is certified in basic and advanced cardiac life support.
Her professional interests include toxicology, trauma and women’s health.
“I chose to practice at Mayo Clinic health System because I had a wonderful experience on a clinical rotation in the Emergency Department during my training,” says Hultmark. “I knew that this was the place that I could grow as a professional and as a person.”
In her spare time, Hultmark enjoys travel, reading, trying new recipes and playing with her new Golden Retriever puppy.
