Patient Satisfaction Awards given to staff departments

June 17, 2011

Two Mayo Clinic Health System providers in northwest Wisconsin earned Platinum Awards — the highest honor given — for being in the 99th percentile for patient satisfaction in 2010. They are:
• Eau Claire: David Ciresi, M.D., Surgery
• Rice Lake: Craig Kann, physical therapist and licensed athletic trainer, Rehabilitation Services

They are among individuals, departments, units and specialties recognized for extraordinary service in annual Mayo Clinic Health System Patient Satisfaction Awards, which were presented June 1 at Mayo Clinic in Rochester, Minn.

These awards are based on patient satisfaction survey results — tracked by Press Ganey surveys — using criteria established by the Mayo Clinic Health System Service Excellence Committee.

Four award levels were presented: “Platinum” for the 99th percentile; “Gold” for the 95th to 98th percentile; “Silver” for the 90th to 94th percentile; and “Burgundy” for those with a statistically significant improvement in patient satisfaction in 2010 compared with 2009.
