EAU CLAIRE, Wis. — Nurse practitioner Kelly Meinen recently joined the Hospital Medicine Department at Mayo Clinic Health System in Eau Claire.
Meinen earned her master’s degree from Vanderbilt University in Nashville, Tennessee, where she also received intensivist training at Vanderbilt University Hospital. Meinen is certified in adult-gerontology acute care.
Hospitalists provide continuity of care for patients. Because they are located in the hospital, they are available to follow up on tests, procedures and treatments throughout a patient’s stay, and for discussion with patients and families. As a result, problems can be detected earlier, and complex medical issues can be managed better.
In her spare time, Meinen enjoys spending time with her husband and three children, traveling and spending time outdoors.
