Nurse practitioner Rhonda Krumenauer has joined Interventional Radiology at Mayo Clinic Health System in Eau Claire.
While radiology uses images, such as X-rays, to help diagnose disease, interventional radiology also helps treat diseases of the blood vessels and other organs using minimally invasive treatment techniques.
Krumenauer is certified as a family nurse practitioner. She earned her master’s and bachelor’s degrees in nursing at the University of Wisconsin-Eau Claire. She also earned an associate nursing degree at Chippewa Valley Technical College in Eau Claire.
Previously, Krumenauer was a staff nurse in the Critical Care, Intermediate Care and Medical Telemetry units at Mayo Clinic Health System in Eau Claire and at Mayo Clinic Health System – Oakridge in Osseo. Krumenauer also served as a medic in the U.S. Air Force, serving in Operation Desert Storm.
Krumenauer will work with patients in the hospital and clinic who are being treated for medical problems such as uterine fibroids, peripheral vascular disease, acute or chronic venous disease, osteoporotic spinal fractures, as well as other conditions treated by the Interventional Radiology team.
